Toplou Linos Liatiko Dry Red Wine 750ml

Category:

The engraved inscription on the monastery wine press (Linos), built in 1709 by Abbot Kallinikos, stands as indisputable evidence that the indigenous Liatiko variety was cultivated on the estates of the historic Holy Monastery of Panagia Akrotiriani–Toplou of Sitia. The grapes were traditionally pressed in stone presses, and the monastic wine produced was of exceptional quality and great renown.

This tradition continues with the same reverence to this day. This ancient red variety of the Cretan vineyard is organically cultivated and vinified in the facilities of the Monastery’s modern winery, fully expressing its unique character.

An intriguing organic Liatiko wine, with an intense ruby color, finesse, a soft and smooth character, and distinctive aromas of dried fruits, herbs, and flowers, followed by a long-lasting finish.
