Thyme is one of the most beloved herbs of Greek nature, with an intense aroma and characteristic, warm flavor. Since antiquity, it has been considered a symbol of strength and energy, while to this day it remains valuable both for its beneficial properties and for cooking.
It is traditionally used:
-
for the relief of coughs and respiratory discomfort,
-
as a natural antiseptic and expectorant,
-
to enhance digestion,
-
for the invigoration of the body.
In the kitchen, it offers the ultimate aroma of Mediterranean cooking: ideal for meats, fish, potatoes, vegetables, marinades, breads, and doughs, as well as for sauces and baked dishes.
🌿 Herb Cultivation
Our thyme is cultivated with respect for the natural environment, on our privately owned lands in Crete. It is harvested at the appropriate time, when its essential oils are at their highest concentration, and is gently dried so as to preserve its aroma and active components.
