The Holy Monastery of Toplou in Sitia was founded in the 14th century AD and is located at the easternmost point of Crete. One of the main occupations of the Monks is the cultivation of vineyards and the production of renowned wines, without the use of pesticides. Today, continuing the monastic experience and centuries-old tradition, indigenous and international varieties are organically cultivated in 350 stremmata (35 hectares) of vineyards. With special care, they are vinified in modern facilities with high expertise and love, offering us the high-quality organic TOPLOU wines.
